07/02/13 Saturday afternoon about 12:15 County Police responded to a three vehicle crash on Michigan Street in LaPaz at Cortland Street. The chain reaction crash occurred when a 2010 Toyota Yaris driven by 70 year old Marilee Huber stopped south bound to make a left tune on to Cortland Street. A 1998 Ford Windstar van driven by 33 year old Kimberly Chezem of Plymouth was traveling south and didn’t see the car stopped waiting to make a left hand turn. The third vehicle, a 1999 Jeep Cherokee driving by 20 year old Jasen Carmean of Plymouth struck to other two vehicles involved in the first crash.
Investigating Officer Joe Giordano said two of the drivers involved were transported to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. They were Marilee Huber and Kimberly Chezem. Assisting Officer Giordano on the scene was LaPaz Fire and EMS and Plymouth EMS.
