This scholarship was established in 1982 to preserve the names of our fallen Brothers, Al Kriscunas, Dane Hoffhien, Gary VanVactor, Brian Samuels, and Randy Hansen, who lost their lives in the line of duty on July 31, 1982.

The first scholarship was awarded in 1983, and through the efforts of the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department, these five men’s families and the Community, every year at least one scholarship has been awarded.

Miss Berger is pursuing a degree in Nursing, Miss Redinger is pursuing a degree in Education, Miss Shook is pursuing a degree in Special Education Teaching, and Miss Tanner is pursuing a degree in Nursing.

To date “The Plymouth Firemen’s Memorial Scholarship “program has awarded in excess of $35,000 in scholarships and renewals to Plymouth High School Seniors
