12/26/13 Five families were helped through the WTCA Christmas Food and Toy Drive. Since Thanksgiving WTCA listeners, friends and staff members have been bringing in toys and food for three families we decided to help for the Christmas holiday. Just a few days before Christmas we decided to help two more families with food baskets.
The 12 children each received as least four wrapped gifts each. The five families received enough food for a week including a turkey, 3 pounds of hamburger, a 10 pound bag of potatoes and a bag of onions from Plymouth FOP Lodge 195. The families received breakfast foods, lunch items, canned fruits and vegetables, and items to make dinners for the week.
Most of us enjoyed a very Merry Christmas with lots of presents, food and family but there are families here in Marshall County that need our help, not just at the holidays but all of the time. Please consider the next time you hear of a family in distress helping out…. The feeling you
