Senators Mishler and Banks Recognize Grace College

March 13, 2013

03/14/13 “Grace College has set itself apart as an institution of academic collaboration and outstanding student support,” Banks said. “It effectively fosters biblical values, leadership skills and strength of character that its alumni will carry for a lifetime. As a graduate student at Grace, I have witnessed these principles put into action by students, faculty and staff members. The school’s dedication to such a calling ensures it will flourish in the years to come.”

“When I was young, I attended the annual Lancer Basketball Camp at Grace College,” Mishler said. “It was a great learning experience for me and just one example of the many different opportunities this local institution has to offer to kids of all ages. Congratulations to this great school for 75 years of service to our community.”

Grace Theological Seminary was founded in 1937 in Winona Lake, Ind. In 1948, it established an undergraduate college and changed its name to Grace College and Seminary. State Sens. Jim Banks and Ryan Mishler today introduced a resolution honoring the school for its 75 years of service. Banks is currently a master’s degree student at Grace, and Mishler represents Winona Lake.
