10/01/13 Friday morning Oliver Ford Lincoln presented a $6,000 check to United Way of Marshall County, the proceeds from the recent Drive One 4UR Community.
On Saturday, August 17th Oliver Ford brought their fleet of Ford vehicles to the high school parking lot for a three hour period. For each test drive taken Ford Motor Company donated $20 to United Way of Marshall County for the Drive One 4UR Community.
On Friday, Linda Yoder, Executive Director of the local United Way said, “We appreciate so much the opportunity given to us by Oliver Ford Lincoln to participate in the Drive One 4UR Community program.” She went on to say, “John Oliver, Jennifer Houin and everyone at the dealership helped make this a successful fundraiser.”
The 2013 United Way campaign is underway and this is a great way to get started. Yoder said United Way dollars serve thousands in the county in a variety of ways. She said, “People serving people” is something they (Oliver Ford) model every day – it’s woven deeply into the culture at Oliver Ford Lincoln and you can see it clearly in everything they do to support the community.”
