Eckert Sentenced to 10 Years for Meth with 4 Years Suspended

  09/13/13  On Tuesday, April 2nd the Plymouth Police Department and Indiana State Police officers executed a search warrant at 1112 South Michigan Street in Plymouth.  That search warrant led to the arrest of two residents, 26 year old Tricia Eckert and 34 year old Peter Devine. During the search of the residence Officer’s located a semi automatic rifle in the home along with the remnants of a meth lab along with other drug paraphernalia.

  On Thursday, August 15th, Marshall Superior Court I Judge, Robert Bowen sentenced Tricia Eckert to a 10 year sentence with 4 years suspended.   She will serve 6 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections. In addition, the State agreed, and Judge Bowen approved for Eckert to be subject to purposeful incarceration which gives her priority to enter into intensive drug treatment while incarcerated.  If successfully completed, this will make her eligible to petition the court for a modification of her sentence.  After completion of her sentence Eckert will be placed on probation for a year and is ordered to testify truthfully against any case associated with her case.
