05/28/13 The 5th annual Tri Ancilla event was held on Saturday, May 18th, under sunny skies and warm temperatures. A field of 123 participants from five different states converged upon Ancilla College and The Center at Donaldson for an exciting day of competition.

Men and women, ranging in age from 16 to 78, participated in a 500 yard swim, 11 mile bike ride, and a 3.1 mile run that toured the Donaldson-based campus and surrounding areas.

The Tri Ancilla event is bringing in new participants each year and makes for an enjoyable morning of racing on our beautiful campus grounds.  The planning committee and multiple volunteers all worked together to put on a well-organized and enjoyable event,” said Todd Zeltwanger, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement at Ancilla College.

“Proceeds from the event are put into our student scholarship and tuition assistance programs.  This money directly benefits students who want to earn a college degree. My thanks to all who helped to make the day go so smoothly,” Zeltwanger said.

Zeltwanger acknowledged the special efforts of Brad Serf, Don Allen, and Pete Colan, who he referred to as “key components of the planning committee.”

He also commended the organizational efforts of Susie Black and the Ministry Center Services staff at The Center at Donaldson for “working very hard to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for participants and spectators alike.”
