JACKSON, MI – The Ancilla College soccer team ran their record to 3-0, the best start in school history, with a win at Jackson College, 4-0.

The Chargers took the lead through Andy Smith via a penalty kick in the first half at 35 minutes after Valdo Garcia was fouled in the box.

In the second half, Ancilla added three goals to the contest. Isaias Morales scored the second goal of the game with a left footed finish inside the box with Nakilee Weni assisting with some great play down the left. The third goal came from Dominic Harris with a cool finish on the left foot. The fourth and final goal was scored by Jose Herrera after cutting in from the right he found the top left corner of the net.

“I was delighted with the way we moved the ball today,” said Ancilla coach Adam Hall. “We were confident in our play and created many chances. We also managed to use a lot of our bench today and it was a great experience for the players to see the level of play they should be at.”

Ancilla hosts NJCAA #7 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College on Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m.
