12/24/13  Staff and volunteers of Miller’s Senior Living Community held their annual Red and Green Party for the residents on Monday, December 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Hill Café.   The Red and Green Party has become a tradition that grows a little bit bigger each year.  Staff and residents look forward to the annual party because it is a time when staff and residents can spend time together in a relaxed atmosphere.  They can enjoy each other’s company by visiting and getting to know each other a little better.

This year the staff and volunteers brought in homemade appetizers and finger foods for the party. Volunteers were on hand to help residents fill their plates and also served drinks.   Judging took place after everyone had been served.  Judging included prizes for the person wearing the most red, the most green and a combination of the most red and green.  Resident winners were as follows:  Shirley Morrow, Most Red; Nancy Bannon, Most Green; and Lois Edmonds, Most Red and Green Combination.  The staff winners were :  Lana Alexander, Most Red; Deb Shock, Most Green; and Christy Tolson and Tammy Raderstorf  tied for, Most Red and Green Combination.

Activity Director Cindy Flagg led residents, staff and volunteers in singing Christmas carols.  Photo props were also provided for staff and residents to have fun, Christmas photos taken together.
