11/20/13 Argos High School is proud to announce that their Business Professionals of America organization has had huge growth this year!  They have grown from 25 members to 46.  They have started a middle level BPA with 36 members and their adviser, Shari Bloom, was recently elected to the BPA Executive Board of Directors in Indiana.

BPA is a co-curricular school organization that provides students with the opportunity to not only compete in over 80 competitive events, but also to give back to their community and school through the Torch Awards program and the BPA Cares program.

In order for teams to compete, they have to raise enough money to attend the District, State and National Leadership Conferences.  One of the fundraisers that is planned for this year is an Argos BPA Member Auction.  The students will be auctioned off in 2’s or 3’s during two different home basketball games for 4 hours of work.  So, if you need some raking done, Christmas wrapping, baking cookies, indoor cleaning, painting, etc., please come to one of the games and bid on some kids to come and help you out!

Ten groups of members will be auctioned off at the Dec. 3rd boys’ basketball game against Tippecanoe Valley between the JV and Varsity games.  This will be at approximately 7:00 p.m.  Then again on St. Dec. 7 between the JV and Varsity girl’s game against Elkhart Christian Academy, there will be another auction of 10 groups.  The time for this game is approximately 6:45.  The auctioneer for both games will be Lee Overmyer.

Who doesn’t need a little extra help this time of year?  Please come support our organization and get that help you need!
