02/12/13 A female employee from Karma Records in the Pine Creek Plaza at US 30 and Pioneer Drive called 9-1-1 Monday afternoon at 5:23 and reported an armed robbery.

Scanner traffic and the shift log from the Plymouth Police department indicated a young male entered the store with a knife and demanded money.  After taking a hand full of money from the cash register the suspect ran from the store and was last seen running towards Beef O’ Bradys.  Described as a male, about 20, with dark hair with a short scruffy beard, and was wearing a black jacket.

As officers converged on the area, each one took a different route looking for the suspect.   Plymouth Officer Shanna Gilmer located someone matching the description east of the County Jail on Jim Neu Drive.  Police located a note in the suspect’s pocket which was believed to be used in the robbery.  At 5:36 he was taken into custody.

Officers searched the area for the weapon used in the robbery and located it at 5:56.

The name of the subject, who is believed to be a juvenile and more details are expected be released later Tuesday morning.
