09/27/13 On Thursday, September 26th in the late morning hours Plymouth Police Officer John Weir responded to the parking lot at Holiday Inn Express on North Michigan Street in reference to a black, backpack being left outback by the hotel’s dumpster by a male subject.
Arriving to the scene Officer Weir located the backpack and discovered an active Meth Lab inside.
A witness told Officer Weir that a male subject wearing a yellow shirt, blue jeans, boots and a cowboy hat had been confronted with the backpack and once confronted he placed the backpack on the ground and fled on foot.
Officers attempted to locate the subject for two hours but unfortunately were unsuccessful.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Team was called to assist in dismantling and deposing of the hazardous materials of the Meth Lab.
