12/31/13 Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger released the name of the young man who was killed in the head on crash Monday night on US 31 just south of Tyler Road.
24 year old Tyler J. Ohara of Bicknell, IN was killed instantly in the crash that occurred just before 8 p.m. The coroner said, “Ohara died of blunt force trauma.” Toxicology tests were conducted but results may be delayed due to the New Year Holiday.
Ohara was south bound on US 31 in a sedan and apparently crossed the grassy median and struck an SUV that was north bound on US 31.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident and has yet to release information on the others involved in the incident. The two passengers in the SUV were transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
