05/30/13 This week members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety opened quotes for a Valve Exercising Trailer for the Water Department.  Three quotes were presented; Vermeer of Indiana in Fort Wayne had a base quote of $59,891 while Ditch Witch MidWest of Fort Wayne presented a quote of $35,575 and E.H Wachs of Harbor, IL quoted $61,900.  The quotes were taken under advisement to allow comparison to the specifications.  Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson will make his recommendation at the next meeting. 

Quotes were also opened for the second phase of the HVAC project.  Improvements include the Cemetery Building, Police Station, Ledyard Office, Pine Road Water Building, the Waste Water Treatment Plant and Street Department.  Two quotes were opened, one from All Season Heating for $45,590 and the other from Bowman’s Tin Shop for $47,390.65.  These quotes were also taken under advisement for review. 

City Engineer Rick Gaul said INDOT recently updated the railroad crossing on Harrison Street east of Broadway.  It now meets the new requirements. 

In other business the Board of Public Works and Safety approved a $200 refund of the $400 building permit fee for the Marshall County Building and several resolutions pertaining to construction standards for the decommission of city water and sewer lines.
