07/05/13 Indiana Conservation Officers are offering a Boater Education course on July 13, 2013 from 9am – 5pm CDT at the Koontz Lake Homeowners Association clubhouse. The course is being sponsored by the Koontz Lake Homeowners Association and is free of charge. The clubhouse is located at 10896 E Cherokee, Walkerton. Lunch will be provided.
The class covers a wide variety of information, including:
• General information concerning boats and maintenance
• Information to make your boating experience safe and more comfortable
• Tips on how to be a more courteous vessel operator
• Laws and regulations you must follow
Upon successful completion of the class, boaters 15 years and older with an Indiana ID can operate motorboats on state waters.
