09/25/13 On Monday, September 23rd at 3:53 a.m. Bourbon Police Officer Matthew Geiger conducted a traffic stop on Old US 30 west of Beech Road on a speeding motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 53 year old Mark E. Young of Bourbon had an odor of alcohol. Officer Geiger conducted some field sobriety tests along with a certified test and Mr. Young failed them all. He was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $1,500cash bond. He was released Monday night at 9:50 after posting bond. Geiger is scheduled to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on October 1st.
