05/23/13 On Saturday, May 11, 2013, the Town of Bourbon conducted Community Day.  Community Day is designed to bring the community together and assist in cleaning up the Town.  On Saturday, May 11, the weather was poor and the weather prevented the community from conducting the projects that had been planned.  Boy’s Cub Scouts, Pack # 254, arrived and cleaned up the Westwood Park by picking up sticks and cleaning up and around the playground equipment.

 

  A rain date had been set for the Community Day.  On Saturday, May 18, several members of the Community arrived at the Bourbon Town Park and completed the projects that had been previously set.  The citizen’s completed the following projects:  scraped the doors at the park pavilion, painted parking lines at the Bourbon Library and the Town Hall parking lot.  The front of the Town Hall was scraped and fresh paint was placed making the building look nice.

 

  Les McFarland, Town Council President said, “The Town Council would like to extend a Thank You to the citizens that assisted in the Community Day, which made it a success.
