10/18/13 Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury or death in children 1 to 4 years of age in the United States.  Ten people drown each day in the United States and two of those are children.

Seven out of ten African American, six out of ten Latino, and four out of ten Caucasian children do not know how to swim.  Only 13% of children from a non-swimming parent household ever learn to swim.

The local Build-A-Pool Steering Committee (BAP) will be hosting a forum to obtain information and feedback from the general public regarding a potential indoor aquatics center for Plymouth, Marshall County, and the surrounding area.

This event will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Junior High Auditorium.  Everyone is urged to come listen, and give your thoughts if you like.
