10/01/13 Childs’ Farm located at 14118 Peach Rd. Plymouth announces that this year they will be offering Fall Horse-drawn Hay Rides on Sundays thru the month of October. Ride time are between 1 and 3 PM and do not require reservations. The cost of the ride is $3.00 per person. There will also be pumpkins available for purchase at the farm.
“We try and have a real pumpkin patch every year where you have cut your pumpkin off the vine,” says john Childs, “However, this year we just did not get the harvest we expected. We kept getting calls asking about hay rides and the patch so Sue and I decided that we needed to do the hay rides”.
“We will also have a bon fire going and have some hot chocolate available as well”, says Sue Childs, “It is a lot of fun, and we get to talk about the horses and farming. We also get to meet the most interesting people as well as catching up with our neighbors”.
Childs’ Farm is located approximately 6 miles south of Plymouth and 5 miles north of Culver. School tour groups are welcome during the week and they also will be offering horse-drawn sleigh rides this winter.
