09/24/13 Monday evening members of the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety awarded the low quote of $20,140 from Hammer Enterprises for the police department roofing project.  The only other bidder was Millwood at $26,897. 

The board opened bids for three items last night.  The Plymouth Fire Department requested bids from five companies for a new type-1 walk through ambulance.  The only company to submit a bid was Donely Safety from Indianapolis in the amount of $251,405 which was taken under-advisement. 

The board next opened bids for the Bauer parking lot improvements at the corner of Garro and Water Streets.  Five companies submitted bids with the high bid being $149,125.61 from E & B Paving Inc. from Rochester and the low bidder Reith Riley Construction Inc. from South Bend of $108,150.00.   The bids were taken under advisement. 

The same five companies also bid on the 2013 City Street Mill & Fill projects.  The highest bid was $282,500 from Walsh & Kelly Paving Inc from South Bend while the low bid was $179,659.00 from Niblock Excavating in Bristol.  City Engineer Rick Gaul asked to have the bids reviewed and allow the Mayor to approve the lowest bid prior to the next city meeting so the projects can get underway.  The Board of Public Works and Safety
