05/06/13 The Marshall County Commissioners will meet Monday morning (May 6th) beginning at 8:30 in their second floor meeting room of the County Building. There are a number of items on their agenda including a training request by Pam Schweizer-Betz, the County’s Veterans Service Officer and a discussion of Election Board matters by County Clerk, Julie Fox. Debbie Dunning, the County Assessor will present the MACOG (Michiana Area Councils of Governments) contract and the new Executive Director of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, Jay Bahr will introduce himself.
The commissioners will hear from Dennis Thornton about 9:15. He wants to comment on the Wind Farm issue that has been plaguing the county.
In other business the Commissioners will hear reports from Highway Superintendent Neal Haeck, County Attorney Jim Clevenger and County Auditor Penny Lukenbill.
Under commissioner items is consideration of Ordinance #2013-01 the original Wind Energy amendment because of tabling at the March 18th meeting.
The Commissioner’s meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are always welcome.
