08/19/13 T 9:30 Monday the Marshall County Commissioners will consider an amendment to the zoning ordinance to amend the fine amount for violations. With a positive recommendation from the Plan Commission and at the request of the Plan Director the county commissioners will consider deleting the $200 per day fine and replace it with a fine up to $200 per day.
Another public hearing will be considered at 9:45 to amend the 2004 County Comprehensive Plan pertaining to LaPaz and the Land Use Plan. After a year of steering committee meetings and public meetings the recommendation will come before the Commissioners.
Also on the agenda for the Commissioner’s meeting is Jackie Wright from Older Adult Services. She will present information on a transportation grant while Quality Correctional Care will host a presentation on medical services they could provide at the County Jail for the sheriff.
The agenda continues with the Highway Report, County Attorney’s Report and Auditor’s Report. The Commissioners are also expected to make an appointment to the Bremen Library Board.
The Commissioners meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. in the second floor of the County Building. Comments and questions are always welcome at the Commissioner’s meeting.
