12/19/13 The work of local nonprofit organizations impacts the quality of life for everyone in Marshall County. Recognizing the essential role nonprofits play in the economy and health of our community, the Marshall County Community Foundation (MCCF) is celebrating their good work with a 10% match for contributions received by Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Donations to MCCF funds that support specific nonprofit organizations are eligible. 

Donors can choose from existing funds or start a new one. There are over 300 funds at the Community Foundation and many qualify for the match. A complete list of eligible funds is available at www.marshallcountycf.org or by calling MCCF at 574.935.5159. So far, new funds have been started for ten nonprofit organizations including: Argos Lions Club, Crossroads Evangelical Free Church (Plymouth), Culver Boys and Girls Club, Culver Lions Club, Earthworks, Inc , Etna Green Church of Christ, Marshall County 4-H Council, Marshall County Council on Aging, Triton FFA, and Triton School Corporation.  Several are taking advantage of new fund options at the Foundation to establish nonpermanent funds that are well suited for mid to long term capital building or improvement projects while others are starting permanent funds that will give annual distributions for generations to come.

The Marshall County Community Foundation is located at 2701 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN. Office hours are 8:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
