05/13/13 The Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building. Their rather lengthy agenda includes Judge Dean Colvin discussing the Court Services Director and Veterans Service Officer Pan Schweizer-Betz seeking a training request. County Clerk Julie Fox and the Election Board will seek an additional appropriation of $29,500 for 10 additional voting machines.
Jay Bahr the new Executive Director of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation will introduce himself to the County Council members and EMA Director Clyde Avery will discuss and update to the EMA ordinance and seek approval of Emergency Funds Procurement.
The County Council will hear from Judge Curt Palmer who will discuss 4-D Consulting Services. Sheriff Tom Chamberlin will appear before the Council to discuss prisoner care.
Other agenda items include additional appropriation requests from the Prosecutor of $42,000 for the second half of the Great Lakes Labs contract, $1,500 for part-time clerical in the Plan Commission office and appropriating $425,000 of Cum Bridge for the 7th Road construction project. Unlisted transfers are also on the agenda.
The County Auditor will seek approval of the April 8th meeting minutes and present a salary ordinance amendment to do a temporary increase in part-time clerical in the auditors ineligible deduction fund.
The County Council meeting is open to the public although they limit comments and questions to the beginning of the meeting.
