01/23/13  On Saturday, January 19th at 2:30 PM Patrolman Jonathan Bryant with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop at US 30 and Pioneer Drive on a Honda passenger car that was speeding.  During the investigation of the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver, Amy Hart did not hold a valid driver’s license. Due to extenuating circumstances Amy Hart was allowed to sign a Promise to Appear for Driving While Suspended with a Prior and was released.

A short time later at approximately 3:00 PM, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was advised of a possible impaired driver northbound on US 31 from State Road 110.   County Officer’s and Argos Police began searching for the vehicle. It was located by Argos Police Chief Rodney Rudd when the vehicle almost ran into his police truck at the intersection of State Road 10 and US 31. Patrolman Bryant assisted Chief Rudd on the traffic stop and arrested 28 year old, Shane Cameron of Rochester for Driving While Suspended with a Prior.  Mr. Cameron was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a $755 bond.

Later that evening at 6:15 PM, Patrolman Bryant conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of US 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail.  During the investigation of the traffic stop it was discovered that 52 year old, Effron Gatewood of Merrillville was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Mr. Gatewood was taken into custody for driving while suspended with a prior charge and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in on a $755 bond.
