10/01/13  On Monday, September 30th at approximately 8:00 a.m. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Les McFarland was conducting school bus patrol in the area of North Michigan Road due to complaints of vehicles passing a school bus while its stop arm is extended and lights are flashing.

While patrolling, Deputy McFarland observed a red Volkswagen that had an expired Indiana license plate which lead to a traffic stop being initiated in the area of Walnut and Jefferson Streets.  During the investigation the driver, 40 year old Eric Miller was found to be in possession of marijuana under 30 grams.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $1,505 bond.  Miller was released later that afternoon after posting bond and received a Superior Court II date of October 15th.
