11/21/13 Tuesday evening Bill Ellinger was sworn in as the newest member of the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission.  Ellinger replaces Don Wendel who moved outside the city limits and was no longer eligible to sit on the commission.

Since Wendel has served as President of the commission there was also a reorganization of the board with Dan Tyree being elected as President, Mike Miley as Vice-President and Tom Pedivoli as Secretary.

Plymouth Utility Superintendent Donny Davidson updated members on the two projects in TIF District #1.  The Pine Water Treatment Plant Improvement Project is nearly completed.  Punch-list items were completed last Friday and the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manual has been submitted to the engineer for review and should be delivered to Davidson before the next meeting of the Redevelopment Commission.  Davidson said all issues have been addressed and he anticipates close out of the project and the final payment request to be presented at the December meeting.

The Pioneer Drive Lift Station Improvement Project is still waiting on some equipment to arrive before they can get back to work on it because it’s a simultaneous replacement.  The equipment should arrive yet this week and Davidson anticipates completion in the next week to 10 days.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi told Redevelopment members that documents have been signed and closing has been completed on the Garmong Shell Building.  Because it is so late in the season, a groundbreaking will take place in the spring.

Derek Spier from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation said they are working on signage at the site and getting advertising on the MCEDC website.
