03/08/13 Marshall County Sheriff, Tom Chamberlin released the February Jail Report on Thursday morning. The top ten offenses inmates were booked into the County Jail in February include: #10 Illegal Consumption of Alcohol, #9 Possession of Controlled Substance, #8 Public Intoxication, #7 Battery and #6 Operator Never Licensed.  The top five reasons people were lodged in the County Jail in February are: #5 Failure to Appear, #4 Driving While Suspended, #3 Dealing in Methamphetamine, #2 Theft and the number one reason – Operating While Intoxicated.

There were 151 jail bookings in February, Argos officers didn’t have any while Bourbon arrested 3 men and 3 women and Bremen arrested 12 males and 3 females.  The Culver police officers only arrested 1 female and Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 12 men and 3 women.  Plymouth police officers made 60 arrests…35 males and 25 females and County Police officers arrested 42 males and 13 females.  There were a total of 48 females and 104 males arrested last month.

Marshall County Police Officers investigated a total of 60 traffic accidents in February.  Nine of those accidents involved personal injuries and 51 were property damage only.  County officers took 63 case reports and wrote 52 citations.  There were 796 civil process papers received at the Sheriff’s Department and process servers served 620 civil process papers.
