1/18/13 The Members of LaPaz North Township Fire Department are proud to announce that a group of LaPaz and Polk Township firefighters received special recognition Wednesday night.
Seven Firefighters from LaPaz and two from Polk Township received the Marshall County Firemen’s Association “Firefighter of the Year” Award that night at the Tippecanoe Fire Department.
The following firefighters were acknowledged for their heroic performance at a serious accident involving a hazardous materials incident on February 21st 2012, Chief Chris Oginsky, Assistant Chief Jon Knepp, Firefighters- Matthew Haskins, Matt Rupert, Al Robertson, Tommy Clampffer, Paul Tyler, and from Polk Township- Assistant Chief Joe Clady, and Firefighter Ray Platz.
