06/11/13 A Courtney DeMont Benefit Ride sponsored by Friends In Service Together (FIST) will take place on Saturday, July 13th.
The FIST motorcycle ride is starting and finishing at the Young Amphitheater located in Centennial Park in Plymouth. Registration will begin at 10:30 A.M. and continue until the kick stands go up at 12(noon). The cost for this benefit ride is $10 per rider and $10 per passenger and your registration fee will include admission to the Courtney Demont Benefit Concert that will commence immediately following the end of the ride.
100% of the proceeds will go to Courtney Demont and her family. Courtney was critically injured in a single vehicle roll-over accident in Argos on April 18th. She was thrown from the vehicle and sustained a head-injury along with several broken bones. After being in a medically induced coma for a couple of weeks she has had a miraculous recovery. Still in Memorial Hospital, Courtney is currently under-going intensive therapy and is expected to be in the hospital for several more weeks. The doctors do expect her to have a full and complete recovery but the being in the hospital for nearly two months, her medical bills are huge.
