09/24/13 On Friday, September 20th at approximately 4:00 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Matthew Emenhiser responded to Wal-Mart in reference to a male shoplifter. 19 year old Lorenzo E. Vazquez of Ka Lee, Florida was taken into custody for theft. Vazquez was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on a $1,505 cash bond. He was released on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. after posting his cash bond and received a Superior Court I date of October 15th.
Later Friday night at 8:39 p.m. while Officer Tim Taberski was working loss prevention at Kroger’s he received information of a male subject in the parking lot asking customers for money. The subject was located inside the store and was identified as 23 year old Jeffery C. Gibson of Knox. While running Mr. Gibson’s information an active felony warrant from Porter County was discovered and he was taken into custody.
It was then advised that Mr. Gibson was accompanied by a female prior to being located. The female subject, identified as 21 year old Kayla M. Thompson of Knox was also found to have an active felony warrant through Porter County and later located and arrested in the 700 block of Berkley Street.
Both subjects were transported to the Marshall County and held for Porter County.
