August 1, 2013
By

08/02/13 Families are encouraged you to bring their children to the Cellular Connection store at 1605 North Michigan Street in Plymouth between noon and 2 p.m. this Saturday, August 3rd to pick up a free backpack filled with pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, glue and more. It’s as simple as that: just come in and ask for a backpack. The local TCC store will be donating between 100 and 150 backpacks, which will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

    What an eccentric performance.

    Johnnyfisterbottom,

May I make a reasonable suggestion? You seem to be angry about a lot of things in and around Plymouth (note the correct spelling). I am not sure if there is such a place in the world where you can be happy, and I have been around the world quite a bit. Things are what one makes of it, and if for some reason that can’t be realized, the prudent thing is to find a place where you can.

Oh and BTW — be careful of that door on the way out — it aims!

you’re comments prove that Ply-meth is stuck in the old times, and I dont take anything seriously from a cubs fan, (that organization that makes so much money but craps on the fans by putting teams on the field like it has in the last decade, admit it you’re more of a fan of wrigley then the actual team) And thor, wow, you were probably the first one in line! That is why this town/city is quickly going in the crapper, the younger generation (the ones who actually spend the money in communities) are moving out and not coming back eventually ply-meth will be nothing but a ghetto if they dont catch up to the times, quit pretending its mayberry, and quit targeting the youth of the community. Also there is the typical blame Obmama reference, PLYMOUTH IS A MIDDLE CLASS TOWN!!! OBAMA FAVORS THE MIDDLE CLASS!!!!!!!!!!! But no you would rather stick with DUBYA because hes all christain and such! Ply-Meth needs to get over-themselves or soon the Good-Ole Boys will not have anywhere to go because if you haven’t realized Ply-Meth cannot hold onto a new business to save its life! Instead of looking to the future and Evolving (uh-oh i used the word evolve) Ply-meth will stand pat and suffer, a dying town that needs to go away! But don’t worry you have the blueberry festival!!!! SO EXCITING!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE CARNY RIDES, TERRIBLE FOOD, AND PEOPLE SMOKING METH! GREAT JOB!!!!!! But Jake Owen will sell tickets for all you blue hairs out there!!! Plymouth Basketball, JOKE, who is the next porn addicted teacher you will hire, or you’re good ole boy child molesting teacher? Instead you outcast the kids who happened to have a couple drinks and they are labeled bad kid’s well if you look them up I bet those “BAD Kids” are doing a lot better now instead of cooking meth, touching kids, or worst of all living back in Ply-Meth, the town in a northern state, with southern values, stuck in the 50′s?! Have fun when it turns into a ghetto! Proctor-Gamble- GONE, Ready-Pac – GONE!

Thor has it right. Its a promotion — get over it. All the times at the Cubs games (living in Wrigleyville), I have quite a stock of stuff (STILL) and nobody was looking at any of that.

The stench of entitlement mentality is overpowering.

Instead of applauding the charity of this private organization providing a community service you demand that their charity be means tested for who exactly? They should only give to those YOU deem worthy?

Maybe you could just spend some of that Obamastash on a backpack…or maybe you should just realize that your fare share is not in your neighbors pocket. Community involvement in our actual communities would be a lot easier to accomplish if the federal government were not taking such a significant portion of our paychecks and redistributing them to where they see fit…not were the citizens feel the money they earned should go.

Thank you Cellular Connection for providing a community service.

Another stupid idea by Ply-meth, so now instead of giving them to families who really can’t afford the supplies they are going to go first come first serve and if they run out sorry families who needed it they just gave away the supplies to a family who could but they showed up earlier.
