03/07/13 It’s time for the 2nd Annual St. Paddy’s Day Dash For Hope !  This year’s 5K run/walk is being held in honor of Hope Banghart, a PHS sophomore, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2012. Hope is now on her way to recovery due in large part to her sister, Kristine who was a match for a bone marrow transplant. Hope was lucky, but not many others are.

The National Marrow Donor Program, BE THE MATCH will be at the St. Paddy’s Day Dash for Hope, giving out free cheek swabs. That is all that it takes for you to be put in a database. Also in attendance, will be Preventative Medicine giving out free massages, Bruce Ruffing’s BBQ with his famous pulled pork sandwiches for sale, and a scrumptious bake sale with homemade goodies for sale.

The St. Paddy’s Day Dash will be at the Plymouth High School Football Field on Saturday March 16, 2013.   Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K walk/run starts at 10 a.m. Entry fee includes a t-shirt and is $20 for adults and $15 for students. Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and run for Hope!
