10/31/13  Operation Quiet Comfort is a non-profit, charitable organization that puts together care packages and cards to send to wounded soldiers and those who care for them.

This year’s “Fill a Stocking and a Soldiers Heart” program is in full swing.  The Operation Quiet Comfort packing center is located at the home of Ken and Jan Houin at 17671 13th Road west of Plymouth.

On Saturday, November 2nd starting at 10:00 a.m. Operation Quiet Comfort will be packing 800 Christmas Stockings with goodies and love to be shipped overseas to the troops who will be spending the holidays far from friends and family this year.

The community is invited to come and help pack and join in on the chance to make a difference in a soldier’s life for the holidays.  If the goals are met for the stockings then more items will be added to the holiday shipment.

Remember Operation Quiet Comfort is staffed entirely by volunteers and solely depends on donations to make it possible to send approximately 50 boxes of love and comfort a month to our troops to let them know how grateful we are for their service.

For more information or to make a donation you may send an e-mail to janh@operationquietcomfort.com or call 574-936-1424.
