05/30/13 The Plymouth Public Library is sponsoring a Young Adult Survivalist Program for students in grades 6 through 12.

Creek Stewart of Willow Haven Outdoor will be coming to Plymouth on Monday, June 10 from 1:00-3:00. Creek is from Anderson, IN and runs survivalist programs at a facility there. He developed this program based off of the popular “Hunger Games” series to help young adults learn some basic survival skills.

Debbie Beck, Young Adult Librarian said, “I am so excited that we can bring him to Plymouth. He will teach some skills inside the conservation clubhouse, then take the kids outside and do some hands-on teaching.”

The program is limited to 25 teens, but parents of participants are welcome to come for free! The cost is only $8.00 per student since Friends of the Library is covering the rest to make it affordable to families.

Creek Stewart has written two books, been published in Living Ready Magazine, Indianapolis Monthly and has appeared on WISH-TV and Discovery.com. To see more of why the Plymouth Public Library is so excited to be able to bring him here, just check out his website at: willowhavenoutdoor.com!
