12/16/13 The Indiana’s Christmas Tree Growers presented Statehouse officials with real Indiana grown Christmas trees on Thursday, December 12th. The annual program sponsored by the Tree Growers Association brings fresh fragrant real trees to Indiana’s Capitol. The presentations include the huge tree filling the Statehouse Rotunda, along with the Governor’s office, Lt. Governor’s office, and other top officials.
Local growers participating included: Hensler Nursery in Hamlet who delivered an 8 ½ foot Fraser Fir to the Governor’s Residence and a 10 foot Canaan Fir to the Governor’s office and Egolf Christmas Trees in Wanatah delivered a 27 foot Blue Spruce to the Statehouse Rotunda.
Other Indiana Tree Growers included MillBrook Tree Farm in Chesterfield brought an 8 foot Canaan Fir for the Lt. Governor’s Office, Hillcrest Tree Farm in Greenfield, Dull’s Tree Farm in Thorntown, Sickels Tree Farm in Winchester, and Jay’s Tree Farm in Mooresville.
