08/15/13 The top reason for citizens being lodged in the Marshall County Jail in July was Failure to Appear.  The next top reasons were Operating While Intoxicated, Probation Violation, Theft and Marijuana.  The remaining reasons include number 6) Driving While Suspended, 7) Dealing in Cocaine or Meth, 8) Public Intoxication, 9) Operator Never Licensed and the 10) reason Civil Issues.   

There were 170 individuals booked into the Marshall County Jail in July.  Argos officers arrested 1 male and 0 female while Bourbon police arrested 5 males and 1 female. Bremen Police arrested 5 males and 0 females.  Culver police arrested 1 males and 0 female while Indiana State Police officers arrested 7 males and 0 females. Plymouth Police booked 37 males and 23 females and Sheriff’s officers arrested 80 males and 12 females. 

County police officers investigated 65 traffic accidents, 51 property damage and 13 involved personal injury and 1fatality.  Officers took 87 case reports and wrote 172 citations.  573 civil process papers were received and 793 were served.
