05/31/13 June welcomes a full month of racing excitement at Plymouth Speedway.

South Bend Clutch presents five feature classes of racing in Modifieds, Super Streets, Thunder Stocks, USAC 600 Open Sprints and USAC 600 Restricted Winged Sprints races on Saturday, June 1.

Modifieds points leader, Frank Marshall, commented after last week’s racing that the crew has been working hard on the track and the track surface has come along where more grooves allow for more side-by-side racing.  The track was smooth and had plenty of room to pass.

Other drivers are optimistic that the track will improve and they’ll keep coming back as the season continues.

Racing on Saturday was able to start at 7 p.m. sharp and ended just after 10 p.m. ET.

Larry Kemp, who works on Eldora Speedway’s dirt surface, was brought in to Plymouth Speedway last week to help condition the track for Saturday’s racing which the drivers all praised.  Kemp was expected to be at the track again this week to continue to help Jim Boggs and Jason Perkins make the dirt surface optimal for all classes of racing.

Plymouth Speedway owner, Ed Kennedy, is dedicated to making this track better and better to create the best entertainment for fans and great racing conditions for the drivers.  It keeps improving every week and everyone is learning something new all of the time.

Coming up on June 8, Comfort Suites will present another great night of racing while Wings Etc. will bring you the MOD Squad night on Saturday, June 15 with NASCAR drivers Kenny Schrader, David Stremme, Justin Allgaier, Kenny Wallace, and David Reutimann!  They’ll be kicking up some dirt in their modified machines!  Tickets are on sale now for $15 and will be $18 after June 8.  Visit www.plymouthspeedway.net for ticket information.

Racing begins at 7 p.m. every Saturday and the gates open at 4 p.m. ET.  For more information on ticket prices, visit our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
