GRAND RAPIDS, MI – The Lady Chargers basketball team lost a conference game 71-46 to Grand Rapids Community College.  The Lady Chargers are now 3-11 in regular season play and 0-5 MCCAA.

Coach Beason commented, “We have had five games in twelve days with only five on the roster playing for the most part – two of those games were top ten opponents.  With a player returning from injury we can hopefully get our legs back  and on track.”

Top performances were turned in from Kaylia Richardson (Indianapolis, IN) with 21 points and 12 rebounds.  Kristen Trudell (Horton, MI) provided 4 assists and 6 rebounds while playing almost the entire 40 minutes.

Coach Beason mentioned on Trudell’s play, “Kristen has come a long way since the beginning of season.  She is starting to handle the ball more under pressure and is taking more shots.  You can just tell that she is playing with confidence and to top it off, she is a hard worker!”

The Lady Chargers continue MCCAA play when they host Kellogg Community College on Wednesday, January 23rd with tipoff at 5:30p.m.
