Leading the Charger offense, was the setting duo of Suzanne Grimm and Courtney Griffith as they offered up 40 of Ancilla’s 44 total assists, with 22 and eighteen respectively. Grimm also provided eight kills, as did Mariah Kinney and Jessica Moore. Defensively, Grimm and Moore continued to be valuable assets for the Chargers, dishing out twelve digs each, just behind Mackenzie White, who led with fourteen. At the net, Mieka Wagner ended the evening with five blocks (4 assisted and 1 solo).
“It was really great to see the girls come together, take on new roles, and step up their game. I’m very proud of the hard work they put into the match,” boasted Ancilla coach Lana Singleton.
The Chargers continue conference play Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. as they host Grand Rapids Community College.
