06/14/13 As part of the Summer Reading Program at the Plymouth Public Library, the annual Pet Parade marched through downtown Wednesday morning just after 11. A couple dozen youngsters and parents paraded from the library on Center Street southward to LaPorte, heading north on Michigan Street and the back to the library on West Washington Street.

They type of pets varied from live ones, dogs and rats, stuffed ones and even wooden pull behind pets.

The Summer Reading Program is a free program that encourages children of all ages to spend a bit of time enjoying a good book to keep up those reading skills up this summer.
