The Lincoln Wrestling team went 2-1 and at the Northwood Invitational on Saturday. The day started with with a close victory against Edwardsburg Michigan, which was followed by a big win against Bremen. The young Rockie wrestlers actually wrestled there best match of the day against a very experienced Northwood squad.
“We had lots of kids wrestle tough, we just don’t have a lot of experience at our lower weight classes. That, and our heavyweight being injured, didn’t help anything. I’m proud of how we competed, but we need to improve if we are going to beat the elite level teams” said coach Phil Koops.
Wrestling particularly tough for Lincoln was, Micah Calhoun, Nathan Lafree, and Colton Schuler.
