08/08/13 On Saturday Night, August 10, Plymouth Speedway will host their 1st annual Farmer Appreciation Night. All farmers that show up on a tractor will receive free admission to the race track. Charlie Houin, Marshall County Farm Bureau President, is putting out a call to every farmer in the county, especially antique tractor owners, to come out and take advantage of this great offer. “Farm Bureau is pleased to be a part of this event”, said Houin, “Agriculture is a major contributor to the county’s economy, and to be invited to be a part of such a fun event like this is great.”  Houin also notes that this comes at a good time as August is usually the slowest month for farmers in the area.

As an added bonus, the Speedway is planning a tractor parade around the track during intermission. Houin has been asked to assist in the announcer’s booth during the parade.  “This should be a fun night and I hope that all Farm Bureau members can participate,” said Houin, “But remember you don’t have to be a Farm Bureau member to join in. This offer is open to all the farmers in Marshall County.”
