11/12/13 Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin released the October jail report.  The top ten reasons why people were lodged in the County Jail last month were: 10.) Driving While Suspended 9.) Battery 8.) Probation Violations 7.) Marijuana and number 6.) Possession of Controlled Substance.  Looking at the top five includes 5.) Theft 4.) Operator Never Licensed 3.) Operating While Intoxicated 2.) Dealing in Cocaine or Meth and the number one reason, Failure to Appear. 

There were 155 booked into the Marshall County Jail in October.  Argos had one male arrested while Bourbon arrested 8 males and 2 females.  Bremen Police arrested 2 males and 3 females and Culver Police only arrested 2 males.  Indiana State Police officers arrested 9 males and 2 females and Plymouth Police booked 34 males and 14 females.  The highest number comes from County officers.  They arrested 34 males and 14 females in October.  6 others were lodged in the jail through the courts.

County police officers investigated 59 accidents last month, 48 were only property damage, 10 involved personal injuries and 1 was a fatal. 

County police took 78 case reports, wrote 111 citations, served 755 papers and the department received 820 civil process papers.
