Â 09/11/13 National Assisted Living Week got underway on Sunday, September 8th as Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter arrived at Millerâ€™s Senior Living Community with the NALW proclamation in hand.Â Millerâ€™s Marketing Director Anna Corbett welcomed Mayor Senter to the podium where he proceeded to give a short State of the City address and then read the proclamation which stated : â€œNational Assisted Living Week provides a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers and the surrounding community to come together to give residents a variety of exciting events and activities that show them how much they are cared about and loved. â€œ
Â Following the proclamation, the Marshall County Church Orchestra opened the week of festivities with a rousing concert of classical and patriotic music.Â MCCO member and solo entertainer Quentin Flagg closed out the evening with an energetic, crowd-pleasing concert of oldies rock and roll which included hits from the likes of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Bobby Darrin, Jerry Lee Leis and more.
