03/14/13 Liza and Friends held their bi-monthly jam session at Miller’s Senior Living Community on Friday evening, March 8th.  Liza Woolever is a local entertainer and music instructor.  Approximately eight of her students and several residents and guests joined in the jam session.  Instruments represented in the jam were fiddle, recorder, banjo, dulcimer, mandolin, drum, harmonica and several rhythm instruments.

The group gathers in the Main Lobby of the Miller’s facility.  Those who want to join in the jam are welcome to do so while others listen and sing along.  Woolever is very conscious of the different skill levels of her students and she plans the jam so that everyone is included and feels able to play along.  The jam includes well known gospel, country, sing-a-long tunes as well as many folk tunes.

Liza and Friends will be scheduling their next jam session during the month of May.  Miller’s is located at 625 Oakhill Ave. in Plymouth.  For those interested in joining the jam at please call 574-936-9801 and ask for Cindy Flagg.
