04/25/13 Miller’s Senior Living Community which includes Miller’s Merry Manor and Miller’s Assisted Living held their annual volunteer banquet on the evening of Tuesday, April 23.  Volunteers from each facility were invited to an all-you-can-eat baked potato and salad bar prepared by the assisted living facility dietary department.  Volunteer Diana Riddle opened the evening with prayer.

Approximately 30 volunteers attended the banquet. The theme for the banquet was “Star Volunteers”.   Following the meal Activity Directors April Cooper and Cindy Flagg spoke about the importance of volunteerism and the fact that volunteers make their lives and the lives of the residents so much brighter and easier.  Volunteers are appreciated and there is no act of kindness that is too small or unappreciated.  Each volunteer received a certificate of appreciation and an award pin with the inscription “STAR VOLUNTEER”.

Receiving door prizes throughout the evening were John Carlson, Lanny Riddle, Hank Muller, and Rob Mace.  The evening ended with an all volunteer group photo.  Volunteers are always welcome at Miller’s Senior living Community.  If interested call April Cooper at 936-9981 or Cindy Flagg at 936-9801.
