09/28/13  On Thursday, September 26th at approximately 10:22 a.m. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert Hafke responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of US 30 and Queen Road.  Arriving on the scene it was learned that 31 year old Troy A. Petermeier of Bloomington, Minnesota was driving a 2011 Ford box truck west bound on US 30.   At the intersection of Queen Road he told the officer he saw the red light for west bound traffic and decided not to stop consequently striking a south bound vehicle on Queen Road in the driver’s side.

  The driver of the second vehicle, a red 2008, Ford  F-250 pick-up truck was identified as 55 year old Kenneth  L. Bolze of Walkerton.  He the officer that he was south bound on Queen Road and had the green light.   He was crossing through the intersection of US 30 when his truck was struck by the box truck.

Boze was transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the accident.  Mr. Petermeier and the passenger in his vehicle, 33 year old Justin R. Harvey of Mesa, Arizona were uninjured in the accident.

Assisting at the scene along the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were the Indiana State Police, Plymouth Fire and EMS along with Lyons Towing who removed both vehicles.
