01/11/13 South Bend native David Stremme has not forgot where he came from. He will be returning to Lakeville this Saturday, Jan 12th at 9 a.m. at the Newton Center to talk about dirt track racing and how great it will be to have Plymouth Speedway making the switch from an Asphalt surface to a Dirt surface.

Dirt Track Racing Seminar agenda (subject to change as needed): 9-10am – Welcome with David Stremme; 10-11am – Tire tech with Shannon Rush (Hoosier Tire); 11-12pm – Chassis Round Table with Mike Hollifield (Buzzard Race Cars), Todd Sherman (Sherman Enterprises), and Randy Sweet (Sweet Manufacturing); 12-12:45 – lunch (meet greet one-on-one with presenters, vendors, and track mgt); 12:45-1:00 – The “State” of Racing with Tim Frost (National Speedway Directory); 1:00-1:45 – Engine talk with Joe Gaerte (Gaerte Engines), Bruce Hogue (Hogue Engines); 1:45-2:30 – USAC 600 Sprint discussion with Rodney Stealy (Concept Chassis) and guest; 2:30-2:45 – Racing Safety presented by PXP Racewear; 2:45-4:00 – Plymouth Speedway discussion of Rules, Procedures, and Schedule. Seminar officially ends at 3pm but we will run up to 4pm if needed.

 

We will have several cars on display including David Stremme’s modified. We will also have drawings for prizes as well as a 50/50 Raffle to benefit the Newton Center.
