What started as a basketball game turned into a brawl Saturday as #1 ranked Oregon-Davis took on South Bend Washington at the South Bend Washington Tourney. With less than a minute to play in the game Oregon-Davis’ Lexi Minix was fouled. A YouTube video shows Minix then pushed off Washington junior Breondra Green. Green retaliated by hitting Minix in the face and sending Minix to the ground.

Green was immediately ejected from the game. By IHSAA rules, she is automatically suspended for Washington’s next game. Minix reportedly suffered a mild concussion in the incident. Oregon-Davis officials say that no charges will be filed against Green.

Former Washington star and WNBA standout Skylar Diggins was honored before the game and Diggins step father Mo Scott is the Washington coach. There were reports that Diggins was ejected from the game when O-D coaches Terry Minix and Wes Radtke engaged in a verbal altercation with Scott during the incident but that report was found to be untrue.

Washington won the game by a final of 84-79 handing O-D their first loss of the season.
